sneezing in toy fox terrier

Question
Beth I've recently boarded my toy fox terrier, who's six months old. Ever since then he's been sneezing like crazy, but also roots in the yard, in the grass, etc. As they're known for. Poor thing has sneezed so much, and is blowing his nose. It's clear, but do you think he's gotten in contact with something in the yard? I've been giving him childrens benadryl, and it seems to help a little, but comes right back. Could you give me a hint as to what I should do?

A lot of my answer will depend on where you are located. If you are someplace warm, it could be some kind of grass or weed allergy - up here in the northeast there is a ton of mold in this cold wet weather - either of which can cause an allergic reaction.

I "hear" some worry about kennel cough from being boarded ?  While the bordatella vaccine only covers some of the strains of the virus there are (just like the human flu vaccine) the symptoms are not sounding like kennel cough.

Here's the big caveat - I'm NOT a vet... If your dog does not seem bothered, I wouldn't worry about it. If it is bothering one or the other of you too much, make an appointment !
