dog aggresion

I have two bitch jack russels one 6yrs and one 1yrs they always seem to fight witch can get pretty nastey sometimes nearly ripping each other apart will spaying them make any difference? i ve had dogs all my life but only had terriers about 2yrs

It is quite common for owners of 2 female terriers to have a lot of trouble.  I really would not expect them to ever get along because as terriers, they both want to be in charge.

Spaying could well help and is advisable anyway - it is well established that spayed/neutered dogs live longer lives.

If spaying them does not calm things down, I would strongly recommend a behaviorist/trainer to help you. Please make sure they are terrier experienced though, because many are clueless when it comes to the terrier attitude.
