Limping puppy

We just adopted a 3 month old puppy a few days ago.  We went to give her a treat tonight, she got so excited and tried to jump up on my son and landed wrong.  She started to limp on her back leg.  She does not seem to be in any pain even when I touch her leg.  Do you think that she might have broken something?

You don't mention the breed, so it;s hard to tell how delicate a pup it is.  It is not likely though that she broke anything, but rather that she pulled a muscle or some other soft tissue injury.

If she's still in limping in the morning after resting on it, I would take her to the vet to be sure.  An untreated injury at this age could mean tough times as an older dog.
