Question
Hello, I have been using the plastic buckle nylon collars on my three dogs but over the past three years the one dog has already worn out at lest 8 collars. I am consdiering getting them each a flat leather collar with the beat style buckle....do you know if these would outlast nylon ones? also is there a safety difference in plastic buckles on collars and belt buckle collars? also would you know if leather would irrate dogs with allergies? thanks, Tara.

Leather should not bother your dog, but I really really like what are called martingale collars. I'm putting a link below to one so you can see it.  It has no buckles or snaps to wear out.

I know many trainers who really like them as well - if you're not using a harness to take your dog on a leash, these prevent back-outs as well.

I'm not advocating one place or another to buy them, but I wanted you to be able to see them.  I really like them.
