Hi there,
I have an 8months old Jack Russel terrier and 2yrs old German Sheppard.
I am having problem with the J.R. b/c I cannot potty train him at all.I tried my best ,and every way, yelling giving treat outside when he did it but he still preffers the house and not even getting any better.Do you think if I would nuturize him it would help?Please give me some advise, I am hopeless.Thanks  so much:Kristina
ps:I am home all day I have time to do anything whatever works.

Yes, it is always helpful to neuter your jack russell, not to mention it helps with potential temperment problems, marking and helping him live longer.

I advocate the use of a crate when you're not going to be home and taking him out every hour or 2.

He may well be "marking" instead of really peeing, and that may require more assertive treatment.  I usually use belly bands which are available at stores like Petsmart. They wrap around the belly and cover the penis, so if he wee-wees in it, he gets himself wet.  It doesn't take long for them to figure out how much they dislike that.

If they are both males, I can almost guarantee he's marking.
