my dog is 3 years oldshe is ajack russle i hade her since she was a pup whenever a take her out for a walk she holds the lead in her mouth and when i pull it out she growls and she somtimes goes to nip my fingers.what can i do to stop this

I don't know what you can do at 3 years old.  She has been allowed to get away with it for 3 years.  I personally would put a choke chain on her and when she goes to bite your hand correct her.  You should be able to take anything out of her mouth.

You may want to try this....Have a good treat that she likes and tell her to OUT and when she releases the lead give her a treat. Tell her GOOD GIRL! If she goes to bite (I know you said nip but I can seeing it going to a full blown BITE) correct her and tell her NO. AND No treat!
