Question
How do I train my sara to come when I call her . She runs away or turns her back on me . when I get close to her she runs away.

Answer
Hi Pattie :-)

It sounds like your little girl is nervous hun. Don't worry as some Poodles are nervous at first but eventually become very loyal and good companions ...not to mention cheeky little things. You will have all this to look forward to. :-)

You need to take things slowly and first gain Sara's trust. This can take some time. The best way to proceed with this is by being very affectionate to Sara, playing games with her and even talking to her about anything and everything. Also, when she is a good girl (always call her a good girl as they like to hear this) give her a treat and spend a lot of time with her.

Gaining a Poodles trust can take a while but it is worth it in the long run and when you gain her trust, you will notice that she will be practically your "shadow" and waiting at the door for you with her tail wagging.

Also keep her associated with your family so she becomes used and begins to enjoy Human company. Some puppies are scared of loud noises such as hammering, hoovering, TV Volume suddenly increasing etc. As Sara gets older she will become more accustomned to these noises.

Take care & all the best & please leave me a comment.
