QuestionMy toy poodle (apricot,4.5lbs,1 year old in may)started loosing hair the size of a quarter a couple of inches above her tail. The spot is darker than the rest of her skin. I recently treated her for fleas with advantage. I groom her my self and don't clip her very short. She got out of our fence about two weeks ago and found her by a stray dog. We took the stray to a shelter. They said he had mange.
AnswerHi Kristin,
This is the normal spot for dogs to bite and chew themselves when they have fleas. You just treated her with advantage so keep an eye on things and see how it goes. The hair will come back in darker after then have had a skin injury.
