Question
Is it true that minature poodles bite more than standard poodles.i have three kids,5,6 and 11.they are good with dogs but i know some dogs just dont have a tolerance for kids. looking to add a minature to our household.

Answer
I've never heard that before. Actually it is important to find out where your dog was born and weaned. If in a family atmosphere, the temperament will probably be fine with family and children.  If in a "dog run" atmosphere (or 'puppy mill' type set-up) the dogs may not be socialized properly.  Also, some dogs are just more nervous than others.

My first dog (I was 4 at the time) was a miniature poodle and Babby was my best friend for 15 years.  She never bit anyone.  When she got older, she tended to snap (as a warning) if a child was too rough with her but she never did bite. Poodles are considered one of the brightest dog breeds, and I think your choice is a good one. But do check to see how the dog reacts to stimuli before buying.  I do wish you luck!
