Question
hi, i wana buy a poodle, someone is selling a four month poodle for 1500 dollars.

my concern is that, will the puppy obey its new owner after 4month? because most puppies go to new homes at 2month.

and do you guys know any good poodle breeders in ontario, Canada?

Thanks

Answer
Be very careful about where the Poodle has been living.  If it was in a home and was exposed to many different people, at 4 months, it should quickly accept you.  If it has been living in the breeder's kennel and seen little of other people and the outside world, it may never be fit to live anywhere except a kennel.

I can't help with a breeder.  There are better sources for a dog.  One of the best sources for dogs with a predictable personality is the rescue dogs. These are dogs that lost their home, but were taken into a foster home to be retrained as necessary and placed in the right home for them. You may find a rescue near you starting at http://www.akc.org/breeds/rescue.cfm The rescues charge a fee to help cover their expenses, but is much less than the price of a puppy plus all its medical expenses the first year.
