Question
I have a miniature poodle that is 3 years old. We got her as a rescue last August. we are now coming into the spring time and I am wondering what would be a good prevention medication for fleas and parasites.
Thanks

Answer
As far as fleas I dont think there is anything out there that is satisfactory.  You have to be very careful what you use too as some of these flea meds can be very toxic and are causing more harm than good to dogs.  You should do a search on the net on flea protection and find what most people are recommending.  I personally live in an area that does not have fleas, lice or ticks, so I do not use anything and am not up to date on what is good and what is not.  For other parasites you need to have your dog wormed once a month to keep away the internal parasites.
