Question
My poodle has a large patch on her back that looks like the fur is all of a sudden disapearing. She had what they called a hot spot in a different area, but, we never felt that it was "hot".  She does not itch, scratch, or bother it in any way. There are no open sores, just shorter fur than surrounding area. It almost looks like bald spots. she is only 1 1/2 years old. she mostly stays inside and sleeps in our bed. we do take her to a dog park regularly. the park is nice with grass and sidewalks. very clean.can you help us with this?

Answer
You need to take her to your vet and have a skin biopsy done for a genetic disorder called Sabaceous adentitis.  Your vet can also rule out mange or ringworm at this time.  Once your vet has diagnosed the problem he can help you from there.  Sorry but I am not a vet and I can not diagnos skin issues for you.
