Toy poodle-male-seizures

Our little male has seizures all the time. At least 1 a week. I always pick him up and hold him which he seems to like. A friend told me I shouldn't do that. Is it really bad for him?

Are you holding him DURING the seizures?  It can be very dangerous to do that.  You could get bitten very easily as well as hurting him.  Just as in humans when they have a seizure you should move everything out of the way that could harm him and let him have the seizure.  After the seizure is over you can pick him up and comfort him.  You need to have this dog checked by a vet.  He should be on medications to help with the seizures.  Having a seizure once a week is horrible and if he is on meds then the dosage is not right.  Please get him back into your vet ASAP.
