Question

Stanley My Std. Poodle puppy is 22" at shoulder and 38 lbs.(not over or under weight according to vet)and is 18 weeks old. How large can I expect him to be when mature? Thanks

Hello Dan,
To let you know, this is just a Guesstimate. Your dog could well be over or under the height and weight that I predict. Enviromental factors, genetics, diet, health/stress, and care all can effect the size of your dog.

Judging by the picture, I would say that Stanley may be around 25-26 inches at the shoulder and weigh around 60-70lbs. His legs are long in the pic, so he will probably be tall, but he doesn't look like a heavy built dog, so he may be more on the lean side.

Did you see his parents at all, or siblings from another litter? This can help give you an idea of what the future dog will be.

All in all, he looks like a very nice Std Poodle and I wish him the best. It sounds like he has a good family that loves him.
