How do i know what breed my poodle is

Question
We where given a poodle he is white and brown with light boown ears
and a stubby tail.
We think he is a bishon. can you please help

Hello Leo and Karen,
If your dog is Brown and White, there is a pretty good chance that it isn't a purebred Poodle or a purebred Bischon.  Bischons are all white with no color marking on them and though you can sometimes get a Poodle with markings, it doesn't typically happen unless you are breeding for it.  
Your dog could be something like a Poodle/Shih-Tzu cross, or maybe some kind of terrier mix.  Shih-tzu or Lhasa Apso have patches of color like you are describing.

Also, if your dog is younger, it may be harder to tell what he is going to look like when he is an adult.  Sometimes hair or features will change some to look more like they are suppose to.
