Question
I just bought a poodle from a breeder and was told it was 9 months old.  Several people have told us he looks older than that.  Is there a way to check this?

Answer
Hello Carolyn,
There is not any real accurate way to guess a dogs age just by looking at him.  You might talk to your Vet about it because they can look at his growth plates and get a guess that way.
If your dog is registered, the papers will tell the puppies date of birth and you can go with that.  You might see if you can get a copy of the puppies registration papers if you haven't already asked.

I wish there was more I could tell you.
If you have other questions, please feel free to ask.
