Question
Is it true teacup poodles must weigh at least 2 pounds before they can have the 2nd round of shots (Vac.)?  I have a female 9 wks. and she weighs 1.2 pounds.

Answer
There is no such thing as a "teacup" poodle.  They are toy poodles even if they are very small.  Teacup is a marketing gimmick used by unscrupulous or unknowledgeable breeders just to get more money out of people.  1.2 lbs at 9 weeks is pretty good sized for a toy poodle puppy.  Your puppy depending upon how it grows in the next little bit will probably be closer to 5-6 lbs.  No a poodle or any dog for that matter, does NOT have to be 2 lbs to have its shots.  A dog regardless of size gets the same amount of serum per shot.  1 ML/CC
