white or cream? dark liver nose...not good

Question
I accuired an almost 3 yr old champion sired std. poodle said to be white- very close- little off white tint on ears in sunlight.  She has a brown nose and dark brownish toenails.  This is incorrect for show ring.  I wanted a show quailty bitch to have one litter to a champion of my choice so I can hopefully keep one puppy and have the bitch spayed.  This bitch is beautiful but has the fault of nose and nail color only.  Guaranteed not to have any genetic problems and seems very healthy.  If I breed her to a champion stud is there a chance the pups could be show quailty without the brown nose? her eyelids are black.  She is said to be white but since her last said litter was cream, I believe she is a very light cream.
Thanks for your advice. She is also skiddish of strangers and my small children.  For this reason alone I will spay her after one litter and find her a loving home through the rescue group I foster for.  I am a very responsible person, just want a puppy I can show and be proud of.
Thanks in advance for your honesty.  Also, what to do to get used to children?

Answer
Hello Ellen,
You can have a "White" dog that has cream ears and tints, but its not what you call a True White.  True Whites are line bred to White dogs all the way back to their foundation dams or sires.  A "creamy" White dog will have Apricot, Cream or a Black somewhere in its background.

If you use a True White Stud with your female, she should have a majority of White puppies.

To get her used to kids, first take her around a croud that has children in it, but not so close that they want to pet her; such as a school while its in session or a park but far enough away that she won't get petted yet.  Praise her and give her a treat if she even looks at the kids.  Next, get her closer and praise.  Then slowly introduce her to one or two strangers at a time.  Have her sit and ask them if they will give her a treat and pet her (if she will let them).
Take it slowly.  Don't rush her or you will set her back.  If she knows Obedience, you can have your kids help you with her.  Let them help with chores with her, ie feeding, walking, playing with toys etc.
You can also do the dog exam position with her to help her learn that you are her boss and as she does better with the dog position with you, your children can help also.
Start with her on her back in your lap.  Go over her head, look in her ears, eyes and mouth.  Praise her for laying still.  Next, look at her coat and go over her front legs.  Next, check her rear area and back legs.  You are just checking for things in her hair, scrapes or scratches, etc.

I hope this helps you some.  If you have other questions for me, please feel free to ask.
