Peeing in the house

Question
Hello,
I have 2 mini poodle girls, 7yrs and 3yrs. The younger one decided it would be a good idea to pee on the bed in the middle of the night. Not my bed that I and the 2 dogs sleep in together but the bed my husband sleeps in the spare bedroom. He works night shift and sleeps there on some nights and when he came home the next morning, there was a ton of pee right in the middle of his bed! I am at a loss as to why she did this. If she had to pee and couldn't hold it, why didn't she just pee on the floor or something? Thanks for your help!!

Answer
Hello Pamela,
It sounds like your girly dog likes your husband and is marking his bed as hers.  She is trying to tell the other dog that this is her bed and that they should stay away from it.  You need to keep the bedroom door closed so that she can't go in and re-mark it.
You need to put a product on the bed that will get rid of the dog odor, such as Kids N' Pets that you can find at Wal-Mart (in the cleaning section)

You can make sure that your dogs have been out to potty just before bedtime and also try pulling up their water 2 hours before they go to bed so that their bladders aren't full overnight.  This may help also.

I hope this helps you some.  If you have other questions for me, please feel free to ask.
