when is the time you should mate your dog

I probably won't answer this the wsay you want. In my opinion the answer "Never" comes to mind, having witnessed all the poor dogs being euthanized because no one wants them.....but I think after about 18 months is best - AND after the dog has had a full physical to make sure he/she doesn't have a problem they might pass on (hip dysplacia, etc.)

Sorry, David, about my above answer - I've just worked as a volunteer at a shelter too long to be a breeding proponent - so I guess I'm not the best one to ask.  I also however recognize the need to continue to improve the bloodlines of different breeds. :)
