Bad Poodle.. Potty Problems

Question
Hi!  I have an almost 2 year old mini poodle, Fiona.  She does ok with pottying except at night.  We don't kennel her at night bc we have a boston terrier, JJ who is almost one and they sleep with us.  we had fiona almost a year when we got jj.  it was so easy to house break jj bc he wanted to do everything fiona did.  now, he does even better than her.  at night while we are sleeping, fiona happens to get up and wander.  she has this one spot in our bedroom that she urinates every night.  i don't know how to stop her from doing this.  she only does it at night, and i don't let them have water before bed, and i take them out before bed. help?!  i am getting to the point where i'm going to have to start kenneling her at night (we kennel both during the day while we aren't home).

Answer
I doubt there is an alternative to kenneling her.  First have the vet check her.  Antibiotics will make quick work of a UTI.  Also talk about spaying her is not already.  It is possible she doing it as a challenge to your leadership.  The key to most behavior problems is approaching things using the dog's natural instincts. Dogs see all the people and dogs in the household as a pack with each having their own rank in the pack and a top dog. Life is much easier if the 2 legged pack members outrank the 4 legged ones. You can learn to play the role of top dog by reading some books or going to a good obedience class. A good obedience class or book is about you being top dog, not about rewarding standard commands with a treat. If none of this works, I am afraid it is the kennel.
