Diet for nursing mother

Question
Our labradoodle just had 12 puppies. What is the best diet for her while she's nursing? I did wean her back onto puppy food before she had the pups, but she won't eat it plain. Currently, I've been adding either canned food (Wysong), cottage cheese, yogurt or a raw egg on top. Any other suggestions? Since I have to feed her 8cups of food/day to keep up with the pups' demand, I want to make sure she's eating right.

Answer
Hello, since many people don't have the brands I normaly reccomend in there city or country heres what to look for in a dry kibble;

No by products
No animal Digest
No Chicken by products
The ingredients Must start with Whole meat such as chicken lamb or fish never corn, corn gulten meal, ground yellow corn then by products this is Not a good kibble. The kibble will be farily expensive you are looking for but the cheaper teh food the more the dog eats to get ita daily calorie requirment the more expensive the kibble the dog eats Less because the dog can get its needed calories in about half the amount! Canned food is Really bad for dogs teeth and i hardly ever reccoemnd it....unless you can brush teh dogs teeth everyday..even then you still get smelly yelly/brown plaqe buildup which in turn leads to early tooth decay.
