walking lab puppies

Question
what is a good age to start walking puppies?  we recently got a black lab puppy
who is 8 weeks old and i tried taking him for a walk to get him started and it
didn't go too well, any suggestions?

Try walking him in the home and yarad first around the house or around the yard to get him used  to it your puppy must NOT touch property outside of your own...the "safe zone" until he has had two/three of his puppy shots for his healths sake. He will be 11/14 weeks by this time.
