Some British Bulldog questions.

Question
I have recently bought a Bulldog a couple of days ago. And at start he seem a little hyper. Now that he has settled into my home he has a biting habit. I will NEVER hit him, but my previous methods of making a high AHH noise or a puppy squeal noise is failing to work. I need to know how to cure his biting problem, as I am afraid that if i do not fix it now it will persist when he is older.

Another thing I wish to know is whether it is normal for Bulldogs to fall over or bump into things? My house is tiled, so it IS obvious he will fall over once or twice. But it just seems he has lack of coordination. Also he bumps his head alot. Is this usual for this type of breed? Are they clumsy?
Another question is do Bulldogs sleep alot? My puppy at the moment sleeps for about 1/3 of the day - is this normal?

Finally his excrament has recently turned runny, could this be due to a dramatic change of food? To the point he could vomit? I feed the dog on basic dog meat i buy from a local shop.

Many thanks
JOSH

Answer
OK, one thing at a time. First of all, puppies bite. Email me directly and I'll send you some training info.

Secondarily, Bulldog puppies are clumsy and it's not good for their joints to be on tile when they are growing. All puppies sleep a lot. This is their growing time and perfectly normal.

If you changed his diet to dog meat, you bet his stomach is upset. Not sure why you would do this but get him back on a puppy food diet asap. If he continues to have runny diarrhea, he needs to see the vet asap.

Where did you learn your training methods?
