QuestionQUESTION: Hi, I have two bulldogs my boy is nearly 3 but my girl is just 8mths and just come on heat I think as bleeding. I have separated them but will my boy try to mate her if playing for short periods, he's a little more hypo then normal but not too bad, now can you confirm my girl can't have a litter before she's two years?? thanks for any info :o)
ANSWER: Hi Tania, your bulldog girl should have 2 heats before you breed her.
So 18 months or older is a good time. She is much to young right now:
KEEP that big Teenager boy away from her...OK???

Put a diaper on her and make sure he doesn't try to mount her.
Only very short play times of 10 minutes with you watching.

QUESTION: hi again, sorry to seem naive but my boy hasn't had sex before, he doesn't even seem interested in my girl infact he's staying as far away from her as possible, I won't risk it but is it better if my boy never actually has intercourse if that's what you call it?? :*
AnswerMany times, if the Male English bullie is very strong and large framed they don't let them mount each other at all. The male bullie boy can hurt a petite female.
They will do artificial insemination in may cases the boy is just too strong for the female.
So, good , glad he is not interested in MOUNTING right now...
