buffy has lost her mucus looking stuff 4-12-08 about 10.15am but on sine of water brakeage see not eating today but has had some water. should i be takeing her to vet.it deen 52hours?

Some bitches will lose their mucus plug a few days before the onset of labor.  If you aren't already, start taking her temperature, at least twice a day - that's a more reliable indicator of impending whelping.  Once it goes down below 99F and stays down, whelping will begin within 24 hours.  Definitely let the vet know she's lost the mucus plug, and what her temperature is; they may want to see her just in case, and will certainly want to keep in touch over the next few days otherwise.
