I have a 7 years old male we got from a family friend few months ago. He's sweet loving dog. When he gets in trash he trys to bite us if we try stopping him. Also we moved and there is more colored people and he don't like them even children. He chased a little boys that was playing with my kids and was barking and growling all the kids were terrified and so was I. What can I do to ensure this wont results in children being hurt.

You will not be able to change a 7 year old.

Why is he aggressive to children? Most any Boxer loves children and NEVER aggressive.

Either keep him inside while kids are outside playing, or re-home him to people without kids.

This is highly unusual-- what is his prior history with the people that owned him before and why did they give him to you when he was 7 years old?

These are important questions that raise my eyebrow.
