Answer
9 weeks is extremely young- a newborn per se.

He should be eating softened puppy food that you can soak to soften.

I have a homemade formula that is high in protein and helps maintain weight for active pups, that I give them in a bowl and also soak dry puppy chow in. Dry puppy chow is still a dangerous choking hazard at this age.

Mix in blender: 1-12oz. can evaporated milk (not condensed & can buy a generic store brand)
1 cup plain, whole yogurt (no flavors & can buy store generic brand)
1 raw egg
1/2 teaspoon white syrup (like Kyro syrup but can buy generic store brand)

Blend- do not froth.

Pour into sealed containers to refrigerate- but ass 5-6 ounces water to formula equally.

(Blender doesn't hold all those ounces at once, that's why you add water when pouring it in container)

In a sealed bowl, add dry puppy chow and pour in formula; covering the dry food. Seal and let soak (in refrigerator) and before serving, mash up into a mash (like mashed potatoes) and warm a little bit in the microwave. Room temperature- not warm to hot- just enough to take the chill off.

You can also give it to the pup in a bowl.

Feed the pup once every 3 hours or so.

The puppy will eat like our newborns- every few hours.

Be sure to allow him to pee and poop after eating-- eating stimulates.

He will be a nice rollie-pollie baby while being playyful and active on this baby-diet.
