my boxer turned 3 on march 12th 2012 and just came in heat for the first time today

i have an akc female boxer i got her when she was 8 months old and she is very playful and seems to be very healthy but she never came in heat until today and she is 3 years and 3 months old has any other boxers went that long before coming in heat for the first time or could there be some wrong with her thyroid?

Thyroid imbalance is generally the culprit for lack of heats or delayed heats and infertility as well.

Please talk to your vet about it so he or she can test her thyroid for proper medication (daily pills & Pala-Tech chewables are most affordable; .07 cents per pill at online vet pharmacies) and any other problem that could delay her heat cycle; uterine tumors, cysts, etc.
