Boxer bitch, false pregnancy?

Question
QUESTION: Well I have a 3 year old boxer female, she started her heat on April 1st and was flagging the male on April 15th. That was the also the first time that he was trying to mount her. I never saw them tie but he is a proven stud, she has never had a litter before. Anyway, I've read that the female will only mate with a male in the 13 days after they start flagging. I've counted and have all the due dates written down and yesterday was the last one and no pups yet. The only signs I see is that her mammary glands are somewhat full of milk but there is still none coming out and also her vulva has become more swollen but that is it. She has no belly at all, about a week ago she stopped showing interest in her food and lost a couple of pounds. Now she has started eating, also the 10th of this month she had a clear fluid coming out of her vulva it was just a watery fluid so I didn't think much of it because it had no color or smell to it. She has also been humping the male, Could this be false pregnancy? I mean she hasn't been carrying around anything she is more clingy but that about it. I just want to know what your opinion is before I take her to the vet should I wait alittle longer or should I take her in right away?Ive read that they cant really do much for a dog that has false pregnancy, that even if I have her spayed there is still a chance that she could keep having false pregnancies. I dont know what to do.

ANSWER: The 63 day gestation period has passed. She was not pregnant.

It is a false pregnancy, and sometimes if a bitch has one, they will again.

Don't give up, try again next heat which should be around September-October.

Take her to your vet for a wellness check up if you have concerns in the meantime.

QUESTION: How long does this last when will she go back to normal?

Answer
She is in an emotional state of mind and will mourn not having her puppies-- it would be best to give her a stuffed toy to mother, and if she doesn't go back to normal in a wee- take her to your vet and explain.

He can give meds to help improve her emotional state and depression (it is a "loss" to her for her "puppies")...
