Question
I just got my female fixed and my male cat doesn't like her. I know it is because of her new smell, but what do I do to make it easier for both of them? How long does it take for them to get along again? Thanks for your time and help.

Hi Felecia,

When you pet your animals, they pick up your scent.  So the more you pet your female it will help to get your scent back on her.  Yes, it takes a few days for the "hospital" smell to go away and then they will be back to normal.

You can also get something called "Feline-aWay" or something like that - it is a Comfort Spray to soothe especially cats.  You can spray it around their bedding to calm them down, but just giving them both a few days will should do it too.
