cats 1st birth

Question
My cat Sunday was in labor on Dec. 23, 2010,and only 1 baby came out which I found odd. I think I still feel up to two babies in her belly but for sure one. Its going on two days now and I wanted to know if there's a way I can make her feel comfortable get'n the babies out. I think she's afraid or she may be prolonging doing it cause the 1st baby came out feet 1st, and it caused so much pain she doesn't want to feel that again...thank you for ur time

There is not much you can do except go to the vet.  A cat's uterus has two horns, both of which carry kittens.  It is not unusual for a mama to empty one horn first and wait a day or two and empty the other horn.  If can get to a vet soon, I would. You may be OK to wait until Monday, when your vet should be open again, but it is already 3 days! It is also possiblke she is finished and you are palpating something else, but if there are still kittens in there, they need to come out as soon as possible.
