neutered male appears to be in heat

I adopted a 2 year old tabby who was neutered but during the last few weeks when he is lying beside me or on my lap he starts humping me and goes almost into a trans.  When I remove him from my lap he almost looks like he wants to bite me and trys to climb back on me.

Hi Bernice,

There may be a scent on you that is triggering this behavior. When does he do this? Where were you before? Where was he before? There is something that is setting him off. One quick and easy thing to do when he does this is blow in his face. A lot of cats don't like this. If you keep on doing this when he does his thing it will break him of the habit.
