CATS IN HEAT AND PREGNANCY

I have an 11 month old kitten she was the runt of the litter so she is small for her age. I recently cought her in the garden with another cat and realized after she was on heat for the first time is there any chance she could be pregnant and if she is do you think my cat will be ok because is quite small.

Hi Lucy,

Yes she can be pregnant if she was caught by a male while in heat. If you do not want kittens you can still get her spayed, but it has to be done right away. As for being ok because of her size, that depends on the size of the male. If he was big she might have problems. When she is about 7 weeks pregnant you can take her to a vet and he will be able to answer that question better. Good luck.
