Bengal Cat

Question
I adopted a registered Bengal Cat from the Boulder, Colorado Humane Society.  I did not get her registration papers from them.  I only have her registered name.  Are there any resources on the internet I could look through to determine her breeding and which breeder she came from?

Thank you!

Answer
Mike,

If you have the registered name, you should also have the cattery name (usually the first part of the registered name).  You should be able to Google the cattery name and find out who the breeder may be.  If there is a suffix of the form "of xxxxxx", then xxxxxx is the name of the cattery to whom the Bengal may have originally been sold to by the breeder.

If all else fails, follow up with the full name of the Bengal and I will see what I can find out.

There are, probably, only two registries where this cat may be registered, The International Cat Association (TICA) or the American Cat Fanciers' Association (ACFA).

Best regards... Norm.
