picky eater!

Question
Hi! I have an 11 year old female. We moved about a year ago and, for my cat's safety, I can not let her outdoors anymore. To make up for it, I started giving her 1 can of wet food on Saturday nights. Now she will hardly eat her dry food at all. I kept thinking when she gets hungry enough, she will eat, but she has lost a considerable amount of weight. She also vomits sometimes after the wet food. Can cats be that picky to where they will starve themselves, or do you think something worse is going on? She still acts normal...Thanks a lot, I am really starting to worry!

Answer
Hi Heather,

Cats can be picky but not to that extent. I would suggest a trip to your vet to have her checked out. The weight loss is a sign that something not right is going on. And her vomiting after eating the wet food isn't right either. Get her checked over. I think you be very happy that you did. Good luck.

Ciao, Karen
