Dog Body Odor

Question
My 8 month old Sheltie has persistent body odor.  I have changed dog food brands 3 times, keeping with lamb and rice formulas.  Currently he is on Iam Lamb and Rice.  The odor still persists. I can only describe it as a stinky feet type odor.  Could this be a result of his dog food?

Answer
I doubt that it is the food.  Many times there is a bacterial or yeast overgrowth on the skin that gives the odor.  Ask your veterinarian for an anti-seborrheic shampoo to try.  Shampoo twice a week for 20 minutes to see if it helps.  If not, then there may be an infection on the skin or in the ears that may need treatment
