White foamy substance

Question
I have a long haired chiuahaha she's 7 months old(LUCY). I got her from The Pet Company in the Hamilton Mall.( Do not ever, ever buy a dog from this place, the should be shut down immediately and I am fighting hard to make that happen) When I first brought her home she was extremely sick! She had a very bad case of kennel cough and I rushed her to the local emergency vet. They had her on medicine that was administered by the mouth. Luckily she jumped back quickly and was as good as new! But since of how horrific her kennel cough is, and the reputation that The Pet Company acquired by incidents like the one I had, I am very cautious of every thing. She is up on her vaccinations, and i feed her natures choice. The problem at hand is that i took her to my moms house and she was running around ALOT. She played for about 2 hours and had fresh water and food available for her the whole time. About 30 minutes after I brought her back inside she started throwing up a white foamy substance that was surrounded by clear vomit. It looked like an egg would. Please tell me these are not symptoms of parvo! She has never thrown up this substance before, even when she had kennel cough.

Answer
Usually this kind of vomiting is from being over excited and nervous. She is just vomiting up some stomach juices. You should be very careful about allowing any dog to play heavily right after eating.

Parvo can start with vomiting but most of the time it starts with the dog becoming very lethargic, not eating or drinking. Then the vomiting will start followed quickly by very foul smelling diarrhea.

Make sure that her vaccinations were given at a vets, not the store you bought her from. I have no idea where the Hamilton Mall is but 99% of all pet stores buy and resell Puppy Mil dogs. No one should ever buy from a pet store for that reason.

But as far as her vomiting goes, withhold her food overnight and feed her a light meal in the morning if she doesn't vomit any more. If she does, then call your vet. She may have eaten something in the yard that is upsetting her stomach.
