HOW DO I PUT A STOP TO THIS BAD HABIT? HELP!!!!

Without knowing whether or not your dog is neutered, male or female, or how old it is, that is pretty hard for me to answer.

It's a bad habit because the dog has been allowed to do this. You will probably need to take your dog to obedience school or training, and if the dog isn't neutered, get him/her neutered. That makes a big difference for males especially.

Age has a lot to do with it as well, and especially for intact animals. Dogs that are not neutered are going to be territory marking as well as have bad house training habits. One is from not being neutered, the other from not being trained properly.
