hello i have a year old outside male cat.he isn't neautered yet. he does get in fights with other cats but nothing serious.well my question is my cat bite my hand yesturday and made me bleed, now my hand is swelled up and hurts to move,also i sqeezed it and clear fluid came out. does my cat have rabies and should i get this bite looked at?and him checked to?thanks

Ok.

1. if your cat is NOT vaccinated for rabies you are breaking the law. It is USA law to have your cat vaccinated. PERIOD.

2. yes you need to see a DR

3. your cat needs to see a vet, they need to quarrantine it.


the ONLY way to test your cat is to euthanize it and send its brain to a lab.

Please go see a dr about the bite. ALL cats that go outside NEED to be vaccinated.
