dog vomiting and itching

Dierks Bentley, a newer Country Musician who is becoming quite famous, takes his dog Jake with him on tour. He said Jake has been really sick vomiting and itching himself like crazy.  He has taken him to 2 vets and they have not really told him what is wrong with Jake.  One vet had to give Jake 3 I.V.s because he was so dehydrated.  I am a member of his street team and am concerned about Jake.  Would you know what could be wrong with Jake so that I could relay that to Dierks?  I think it is either allergies or worms but I am not a veterinarian so I have no real clue.  Please help if you can!

itching could be an allergy.  If you cover him for worms and fleas first. vomiting is a different issue. If he is getting dehydrated he will need to be placed on a drip as this is fatal.  Vets can perform all sorts of tests but often costs get in the way.  Ask them about blood tests and see if they come up with an answer.

Could he have eaten a foreign object.  Get them to x-ray and scan to make sure there are no intestinal obstructions
