Question
Is it safe to trim our cats back claws? They are quite long and we can hear him coming down to hall due to the clicking of his claws on the hard wood. Also, we have two cats sometimes one of them seems to have a little blood in its stool. Is this serious? They both seem to be very healthy and eat and play well together. They eat only dry food.

Thank you

Answer
blood in faeces could indicate a serious problem.  You should take them to a vet asap.  You can trim the claws back but be aware not to get the quick which is a main vein and nerve that runs into the claw. If cut the only way you can stop it bleeding is with a special pencil available from vets
