My 14 year old peek-a-poo has asthma like attacks, this has been going on for some time, but they are getting longer and of coure scarier for both of us, his whole little body shakes.

I suggest you take him to the vet asap. He could even be having small seizures. It could be several things. A vet needs to take a look at him. It could be something that medication would help.
