flea treatment

Hello, my 10 lbs chihuahua has fleas. The Vet gave me Paragard Plus Topical solution. How long does it take to get rid of the fleas? How long before i can touch him after applying the topical solution? Thanks

As far as I know, Paragard is a tablet for intestinal parasites.  I have never seen Paragard plus.  I have seen Frontline Plus and that works within 24 hours.  The solution is really non-toxic to people, so if you touch it, there is no problem, but try and leave it alone so it can translocate throughout the skin.
