Question
QUESTION: Dog ate a packet of humidipak that was in GlycoFlex soft chews bag. It's gel or water based liquid in a plastic square 2X2.  How detrimental is this stuff?  Thx for response

ANSWER: That depends on what really is in it. I would call the poison control center and ask them since this sounds like it was from a human product.
Their toll-free number is 1-800-222-1222.

QUESTION: In response to your answer: already connected poison control center you suggested..they do not know.  But, the dog seems to be ok.  Contacted to ASPCA, $65 charge & credit card that I don't have..this is before any conversation.  You have been helpful.  Thx

Answer
I think it's criminal that the ASPCA charges like that. If the dog didn't chew this packet up, I am going to guess it will probably just pass through.

Most of these things are made with a non-toxic waterless gel. You might want to call your vet today but if the dog is okay so far, then he may be in the clear.

By the way, I found this online from humidpak.com:
Q.  Is the Humidipak safe to eat, taste, or accidentally swallow?

A.  The Humidipak and all its ingredients are completely safe, environmentally friendly and FDA approved. There are absolutely no health risks associated with the Humidipak products.

Hope that helps!!
