Baby Yorkies 4 Weeks Old

Question
QUESTION: I have three baby yorkies which are 4 weeks old.  I was wondering when I could start allowing them in rooms that I don't have at a very warm temperature.  They are room temperature around 68 but the room they are in now is quite warm.

ANSWER: I am glad to hear that the babies are doing well. I wouldn't put them in a room that cold quite yet however, unless they have a heating pad under a bunch of blankets or a heat lamp well above them.
Yorkies are thin skinned and thin haired dogs, so they are not going to do well in cold temperatures.

Are they on their kibble and wet food now? How are they doing with learning to eat?
Please keep me posted.

QUESTION: I have tried giving them the Science Diet kibbles.  I grind it up and add warm water to it to make it like a gravy.  The largest of the three puppies has started eating a little but the other two puppies don't seem interested in it yet.  I going to try again when the other two puppies are 5 weeks old.

Answer
It takes time for them all to eat. None of them will start on the same schedule. Just like kids they are all different. Just make sure you present for them each feeding because one day they will just start eating it, or at least licking at it.
Adding some canned Puppy growth could help too- but just a teaspoon full mixed in through and through for flavor and scent.
Are you going to sell these babies?
In the next week or so they will all start eating. Then the real messes begin!!
