cat with uncontrollable sneezing

Question
We have 2 black cats, male and female, about 2 yers old, from the same litter.  Both very healthy and active.  Recently the male cat, for no reason we can find, began to have periods of almost continuous sneezing.  This lasted for well over an hour, with no other abnormal symptoms/behavior except maybe slightly warm ears.  Nose was cold and wet, eyes clear wuth no discharge, etc.  The attack finally went away, but we are concerned about the cause.  We've never seen it happen before with any of our cats.  Is this anything to worry about? Or should we just monitor the situation?

Answer
It may be allergies or he got something up his nose.  Make sure to avoid carpet fresheners, burning candles, air deodorizers and use un-scented, dust-free litter.  Monitor for any discharge from eyes and nose as well as decreased appetite or energy...if so, take him to the vet as then it is likely that this is an upper respiratory infection brewing.
