puppie pot bellie

I have an 8 week old springer spaniel puppie who was severly dehydrated due to giardia.She recovered very fast and is taking an antibiotic ,but all of a sudden she developed the pot belly again. Could she have worms too?Wouldn't she have been tested for that at the emergency clinic?

Yes, there is a good possibility of her having other parasites  besides Giardia. Ask your regular vet to run a complete fecal analysis and then the pup can be treated for the other parasites. This might include round worms, hook worms, whip worms or a similar parasite to Giardia called coccidia.

These are all very treatable.
