injured budgie

Question
I have a friend that has a very special bugie....talks alot and loves all the attention it can get. It was picking at the rug the other day and my friend didn't see it and accidently stepped on its wings damaging it pretty bad. Can you give any suggestions as to helping the wing heal. Or any other suggestions about the injury you might have. He is really beating himself up over it so thought maybe I could find some answers. Thank you so much

Hi Kandee!  Aww, I feel so badly for your friend!  Tell him not to beat himself up about it, as unfortunately, these sorts of accidents do happen.
I would suggest that he take the bird to a veterinarian to be sure that there is no internal damage.  The veterinarian can also splint and wrap the wings properly so that they can heal.  Antibiotic drops for the bird may also be prescribed to prevent infection from the injury.
