How can I stop my boston terrier from eating its own feces?

Hi Margie!

What an ugly habit some dogs can have! Good thing there is stuff you can do to help this out with.

1. Keep the dog away from all fecal material. This means leash walks only, even if let out in the yard to go.

2. Sprinkle some MSG (yes, the food additive) onto his food in the evening for a few days. This will make the stool sample just NASTY to eat. This should help curb the habit.

You can speak to your vet about this. They would probably RX a product called FORBID, but thats just MSG in a fancy package.
